The same work, with a name each age understands

What we do is called specialist learning support (known in Spain as reeducación pedagógica). That's the name on the plan, on the invoice and on the grant, and it's how schools and the professionals who refer families to us know it. But it isn't a word that helps an 8-year-old or a 15-year-old sit down feeling keen: it sounds as if something is wrong with them, and that isn't the case. That's why each stage, from Infantil (ages 3–5, P3–P5) upwards, has its own name. The content, the team and the supervision are the same.

If you've been told about reeducación, this is it. If what you're after is better studying, this is it too.

Infantil · ages 3 to 5Early learningSpoken language, attention, pencil control and the foundations of reading and numbers, always through play. For your child, it's time spent playing with someone who knows where that play is heading.
Primary · ages 6 to 11Learning supportReading, writing, maths, attention and work habits. At home, with their own books, and with the family kept up to date on what we're doing and why.
Secondary (ESO) · ages 12 to 16Study skillsOrganisation, planning, memory and study techniques. We present it as training, not as correction: at this age, what they'll accept is what's useful to them.
Bachillerato and vocational courses · 16 to 18Academic preparationStudy techniques, time management and preparation for exams and university entrance exams (selectividad). The goal they understand is the grade and the university place; that's what we work towards.
